Pulse

I already had this flat colored a few days back maybe. Got a little stuck on a commission so decided to finish this first. It's Soojung, because I haven't paid much attention to her story. But anyway I was working on the magic system for this since I don't want to rehash the same magics for different stories. Calling the magic "Pulse" for now, but I might find some other fancy name later. But anyway. Every living creature has its own internal reserve of Pulse. Each individual has a different Pulse "capacity" (i.e how much Pulse you can store in your puny mortal body), and said capacity decreases with age (kinda sorta like how telomeres get shorter when cells age) so the older you are, the less magic you have. When your Pulse capacity drops to zero, you die. Constant overuse of Pulse also affects how much Pulse your body can store so anyone who relies too much on Pulse will die young. Bad luck if you're born with a shitty capacity. And what about the special chosen ones, the supposed "Marked Ones"? Well, it's speculated that they have nigh infinity Pulse reserves, which contributes to their immortality. There is however no evidence to back up that claim. (i.e I'm still working things out and I know there's potential for OP-ness in there and I'm going to fix it.)
